1. Introduction & Scope

MeowFinn ("we," "our," or "us") provides the following products:

• MeowFinn Mobile App — An AI-powered personal wealth tracker that helps you manage expenses, income, debts, savings, and investment tracking. Features include AI chat-driven transaction logging, receipt scanning, document uploads, and smart financial insights. Available on iOS and Android.

This Privacy Policy applies to the MeowFinn Mobile App.

Important Note: The MeowFinn Mobile App (iOS/Android) is a personal wealth tracking tool only. It does not include, facilitate, or provide access to any cryptocurrency trading, investment advisory, or portfolio automation features.

Data Collection & Usage (Personal Finance Tracker)

A1. Permissions & What We Use Them For

MeowFinn Mobile requests the following device permissions:

Camera

Used to scan receipts, invoices, and financial documents directly within the app.

• Images captured are securely transmitted to Google's Gemini API for AI-powered data extraction (merchant, amount, date, category).
• We use Google's paid API tier, under which Google guarantees content is NOT used to train their AI models. Reference: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing
• Images are stored in our secure cloud storage (Supabase) for display in your transaction history.
• Receipt images are automatically deleted 90 days after upload.

Photo Library / Gallery

Used to allow you to select existing photos from your device's gallery — for example, uploading a previously captured receipt or invoice image. On iOS, the app may also request permission to save images to your photo library.

• Selected images follow the same processing pipeline as camera images (Gemini API → Supabase storage → 90-day auto-deletion).
• On iOS, this maps to NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription and NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription.
• On Android, this maps to READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+) and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below).

File Storage Access

Used to allow you to upload financial documents in formats such as PDF, spreadsheets, and images — including receipts, invoices, bank statements, and balance sheets.

• Uploaded files are processed by our AI to extract relevant financial data.
• Files are stored securely in Supabase and subject to the same 90-day retention policy as receipt images.
• We do not access any files other than those you explicitly select and upload.

Push Notifications

Used to send you timely reminders and alerts related to your financial activity, such as:

• Budget limit warnings
• Scheduled transaction reminders
• App-level alerts you configure

Notifications are generated locally on your device or pushed from our server. We do not sell or share notification data. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

A2. Data We Collect (Mobile App)

• Account information: Email address and display name for authentication. You may sign in using email/password or third-party providers such as Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In. When using third-party sign-in, we only receive your name, email address, and profile identifier — we do not receive your password.
• Financial data: Transactions, budgets, categories, and savings goals you input or import. Stored securely in your personal account.
• Receipt images and documents: Stored in our secure cloud storage for display within the app, automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Usage data: App interaction patterns for service improvement purposes, collected anonymously.

A3. How We Use Your Data (Mobile App)

All data collected from the Mobile App serves exclusively for your personal use within MeowFinn. We do not:

• Sell your personal or financial data to any third party.
• Share your data with advertisers.
• Use your data to train AI models or improve our products.
• Access your data for any purpose other than providing the MeowFinn service to you.

A4. Third-Party Services (Mobile App)

The MeowFinn Mobile App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API — AI-powered receipt and document scanning. We use the paid API tier; Google does not use your data to train their models.
• Supabase — Secure database and file storage for your financial data and uploaded images.
• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — Authentication providers. We only receive basic profile information (name, email).

No data is shared with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

A5. Children's Privacy (Mobile App)

MeowFinn Mobile is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access & Export: Request a copy of your data.
• Delete: Close your account and request deletion of all associated data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Revoke Access: Stop all AI processing at any time — delete your account via the mobile app settings or contact us.
